Each session emphasizes clarity, narrative coherence, and personal insight, empowering students to produce essays that not only resonate with admissions committees, but themselves. Creative writing workshops are multi-genre workshops that focus on deepening a writer's ability to craft complex and engaging pieces within a non-censored safe environment. In this 15hr half-day workshop, writers will set and achieve daily goals, explore different genres and find the one that best suits their voice, while building a community with their peers. These genres can include fiction, playwriting, personal essay/memoir, and poetry to name a few. Writers may discover they adore syntax while working with poetry, scene building and tension with playwriting, and even description through fiction and world-building. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just starting out, this workshop offers a supportive environment to develop your voice, share your work, and receive constructive feedback.
